I am a Galdiator

I have trained for years, ready to risk it all.
I don’t know my foe, will I rise or fall.
Wooden gates swing open, the crowd cheering.
I face my enemy, the king jeering.
I draw my sword, Ready for battle.
He swings I dodge, Our metals rattle.
Like lions raging, There can be only one.
Battle is finished, One dead. Who has won?
