Confetti Fears
Look around at the mess we've made
confetti everywhere, filling the air
with cheerful dreariness
I will drown in it
my dreams, my fears
to treat, to swim,
It's a constant term
a constant flow
a constant...
no.
I won't sink, I'm too light
left with nothing inside me,
my fears are what I'm swimming in
They're what keeping me alive
I float, I fly like a kite
I soar above the ground
above the rivers of my sorrow,
I know
It's only fears that weigh us down.
