Eleven
That is the number of siblings that I have
Five older and Six younger
Five that I have to look up to and learn from
Six that learn from me and look up to me
Six that I need to teach and protect
Eleven that I have such great memories with
Christina the oldest, the strong one
I remember her always setting a goal and achieving it
She helped shape me into the determined person I am
Stacy the emotional caring one
I remember her always makig sure I had style
She helped me become the fashion critic I am
Damion the cool athletic one
I remember him always checking out his “oh so big” muscles
He helped me become the fit person I am
Daisha the beautiful bubbly one
I remember all the fun times and jokes we had
She helped me become the jokester I am
Tyler the Mama’s boy show off
I remember him doing anything he could to get on Mom’s good side
He helped me become the kiss a** that I am
Jacob my sensitive best friend
I remember when he told me everything and followed me
He helped me become the sensitive person I am
Tessa the girly shy one
I remember when she didn’t listen when I tried to help her
She helped me become the understanding person I am
Trista the book loving talkative one
I remember when I first met her she talked forever and fell asleep in my lap
She help me become the listener that I am
Amina the singing and dancing one
I remember when she used to write songs by herself and perform them
She has helped me become the music expert I am
Jamielee the adorable sassy one
I remember when she used to pour spaghetti on her head and say “Uh oh”
She helped me become the loving person I am
Luke the bulldozing curious one
I remember when he used to ask a million and one questions all day
He helped me become the expert on useless facts that I am
Everything sibling has helped me become the person I am
To them it was just normal things they did
But to me it was shaping me

This poem is in honor of me graduating and leaving my younger siblings and seeing how they grow from now on.
