Inheritance
Staring into the candle light
On a blue blackout
I heard it tell it's tragic tale
Of love
Of water
His other half
Bound to destroy each other for eternity
Never to meet in peace.
But then came
the smoke,
Who embraced the flickering flame
Assuring him
Telling him that their love lives,
As he was their offspring.
My face lit up as the flame saw his partner
Roll down my eyes.
Everyone danced that night.

Some love stories we ignore, which flower only for a moment and then it's gone. But it's not all always over.
