Closer
When I hold your hand I feel as though it is not enough. We aren’t close enough. Can’t you feel the space between our palms? In the mountain ridges and the fields? Between the atoms? There are solar systems between our fingers. I squeeze your hand every once in a while just to remind you. I brush my thumb over the back of your hand to remind you that I need you closer.
