I Was Raised By My Brothers
Those
Bone-crushing,
Hair-sweating,
Scabbed-knee,
Ripped-uniform
Kind of boys.
I was raised by those
Adrenaline charged
Early morning
Impromptu Ping-Pong
Athletes.
Those
Toiletpaper comedians,
Ninjago admirers,
Book haters,
And football lovers.
I was raised by those
Cinnamon muffin
Baked in sunlight
Smothered in sweet butter
Chefs.
Those
Mischievously happy belters,
Toothpaste Oreo makers,
Puppy love enthusiasts,
And non admitting hairstylists.
I was raised by my brothers.
My Lewis and Clark.
My early and late birds.
My Seahawks and Chargers.
My sun and moon.
My loves, my loves.
