Are We Forgetting They Are Human
War is a word that everyone knows
They see it
They hear it everywhere
Do we realize that the warriors that we are sending
Thousands at a time,
Are human and that many of them actually die?
We are sending people
"To their deaths"
Do we forget that they are human too?
They are not just fighting machines
But brave men and women
With dreams and a family
And we sometimes use them
Most not bothering to see
That we are risking peoples lives
Sometimes for no reason
We are forgetting
They are human
