Going for gold
I can take a lot,
to being called fat, dumb and ugly
To being told that I am worthless
That my parents must've been druggies
I can take a lot,
From the hurtful words to the bakward truths
The silent mocks and broken stares
To the lying friends, who didn't seem rude
I cant take a lot,
From getting pushed around
to being called a waste of space
to the stinging feeling
From being told Im a mistake
I can take a lot,
From being told that there's no point
to the flat tone of life
where ther's no choice
But one thing I wont take,
Is being told that i'm not enough
Because, that will never be true,
because, all I need Is my own love
I wont take
Being called a pointless soul
Because in this world I have my life planned
In this world, I'm going for gold
