The shadow from within

A sight in distress
Burning my soul from within
My feelings, I must suppress
As the flame burns through my skin
Like a rock falling into a pond
Never to be seen again
Knowing, I had it all wrong
Falling deep into the pain
My hopes and wishes
Crumbled, and burned away
The flame grows and itches
As my skin decays
burning away gentle and slow
This feelings, I cannot bare
A lesson, I should have known
Now I fade into thin air
