On The Streets Of Milwaukee
Bumpy roads of cobblestone hear and see
sights and sounds as the streetcar rolls down the road.
As I step off, the smell of fresh cut maple lingers in the air
as we visit the heart of industry deep in town,
the smell of yeast spreads throughout the city,
with fresh bread and pastries all around.
A meeting with Abby who loves to come and play,
but we can not stay long, for a visit with grandma is on its way,
a wave to grandma and away we go,
anticipating the next return.
A quick snack at the Sendik's cart and off we go,
for a visit to the Nickelodeon and the newest showing,
laughter filling the audience and keeping people in a cheerful mood.
A quick admiring of the Postman's Harley,
so sleek and impressive to the eye,
imagining what it must be like to ride,
before the ride home to the 21st Century.
