Cabin
An anxious drive
through the never ending pines.
Arriving to the happy lodge filled with few rooms
that struggle to hold so many
countless memories.
Sitting on the dock as the warm sun sets
next door neighbors become forever friends.
Splashing in the crisp clear lake
only a few feet away
laughter rings from all around.
As boats and tubes constantly fly by
time passes fast like running the 100 meter dash.
Before I know it
it's time to go back to the small town
we call home.
