Ignite Me
Every soul yearns to make a difference,
but the difference between them and me
is that
My bones are made of matchsticks
My tongue is dipped in petroleum
My fingertips await the sparks ricochetted off ideas that
rip and pierce through the mess of my self-realized consciousness.
My words are written in tar
constant, steady, rich, black, permanent.
All I need is a spark
to ignite the flames in my mind to set off a revolution
against the insanity that comprises the injustices of our world today.
It is ingrained in our minds that nothing we do today will affect tomorrow
I conclude that I must rise
and that We must rise
We are volatile.
and We are a mess.
We are more than what they antagonize us to be
We are a change waiting happen.
