As a Moment Passes By
It was a normal day.
Cold feet
Honks and horns
Halts making me fly out
But the tight black belt catches me back
Eyes blurry
Sky too dim
Time slows down
As I spot
it.
Flashing lights
In the cloudy afternoon sky
Mystery lurking by
Man lay flat
Mud brown jacket
Kicked around shoes
Old teared up jeans
Paved ground free of blood
Scraps
Broken glass
Cars flying past
Tall men
Blue suits
Red and blue frightens me too
Looking around
Scrunched up face
Peer out
Look around
Until you pass
Wanting one more chance to look
Honks and horns
I look away
It’s a normal day
again
