Like Monkey Like Father
He swings from branch to branch,
holding on by one hand at a time.
He juggle work and family time,
busy day in and day out.
He spans the jubilant jungle,
hunting for his next meal.
He cooks carefully in the kitchen
as he prepares the family dinner.
He plucks insects out and grooms his hair;
the monkeys look after each other.
He brings home medicine for when we are sick;
my father looks after our health.
Celebrating and cherishing family
is a priority for both my father and the monkeys of the jungle.
