Ink On My Skin

Written on my skin sits a symbol of you,
scarred on me like our love
A simple line holding our meaning
forbid from my parents, encouraged by my friends.
With each poke comes pain,
resulting in a black ribbon on my wrist,
showing strength and perseverance
I will never forget you
because I am inked with your strength.
