Two-Tone Poem
Sometimes I feel gatorade yellow—
bursting through my veins.
Electric and exuberant,
like music blasting through the aux cord
as it consumes my body.
At other times I feel blueberry blue—
coursing through my head.
Insecure and indecisive,
like quiet rain slowly tapping a window
closing in around me.
But, together both colors make me
A girl, wild but worried,
cheerful but concerned.
With both music and rain
dancing together; creating who I am.
