Two-tone poetry
On most days I’m radiant yellow,
simple things make me happy.
people smiling, laughing, joking around.
These are the main things.
On some days I’m dismal blue,
friendship fights, friends in pain,
family drama, friendship loss
These are the main things.
I will never let the dismal blue define who I am,
a radiant yellow girl.
I won’t let that change due to a stress-filled world.
Hold on tightly to the little things, I always say to myself.
And that is the main thing that helps.
