Two-Toned
With few I am thunderstorm grey.
Covered and concealed,
Leaving a shadow as
Droplets of rain stream down in a rhythmic sound against the floor.
With few I am candy filled pink.
Popping and crackling,
Bursting with color as
Smiles echo, like dominos passing from one to the next.
With all I am sunset orange.
Blazing like sparks before a fire,
yet sweet as Spring’s fresh air.
All somewhere between that dark cloud and piece of candy.
