To Question or To Savor
Last night cool air blew in from the window as I fell asleep.
My dog Charlie warmed my feet,
and hogged the bed.
This morning I woke up able to wiggle my toes,
comfortable and happy.
I woke up to a warm kiss and a deep voice.
I opened my eyes to a blonde man,
dressed only in a necklace,
who referred to himself as Charlie, my husband.
He anxiously raced out of bed,
starving to begin breakfast,
excited to go adventure.
To question or to savor the moment?
How did I marry my dog?
What will my husband and I tackle today?
