Can you hear me?
You nod your head as I speak,
but your eyes remain on your screen.
Can you hear me?
You tell me you care what I’m saying,
but your one-word responses tell me otherwise.
Can you hear me?
You are watching me as I talk,
but there is a brick wall in your blue eyes.
Can you hear me?
You don’t listen to me the way you use to,
but you insist that I’m overthinking.
Can you hear me?
You don’t answer my calls,
maybe you’re listening to someone else.
Can you hear me?
