Why am I afraid?
Afraid of the ones who have hurt me.
The ones who have pushed me down.
And walked away without lifting me up.
Why am I afraid?
Afraid of the kids at school.
The bullies who tear me apart.
The kids who stand there and laugh.
Why am I afraid?
Afraid that I can't stand up for myself.
But I am stronger than I look
And I am braver than you think.
So why am I afraid?
