My crazy morning
My morning was relatively normal.
I woke up, showered, and left for work.
In a trance, I hardly paid attention
When driving in the morning.
It was about time to turn on my blinker
and turn into the driveway at work.
I tried turning the wheel
and was met by a strong resistance.
The radio turned on obnoxiously loud
and 80’s rock was playing.
(A genre I never listen to)
No. The steering hadn’t gone out, and the electric wasn’t bad,
but the car had decided to drive itself this morning.
One mile later, I found myself turning into a gas station.
I realized that the car and myself were more alike that
I’d thought.
Always hungry and looking for food
no matter where I was or what time is was.
I filled up and then the car was then more than
willing to drive where I wanted to go.
