Sound of silence
When a forest tree
Falls to the ground, would it make
A sound or silence?
When a person cries
When there’s nobody around,
Do they truly weep?
Could a cry for help
Remain unheard in a crowd?
Unfortunately.
In a crowded room
Hundreds of trees may fall down,
But no one will hear
Ignorance is bliss
Is what they tell today’s teens
Ignore falling trees

This is an older poem I'd written a while ago when I felt not many people listened or paid attention when I was down. In the height of my depression, not many people seemed to take notice. This is an ode to the fact that, as horrible as it may be, not many people truly pay attention to those suffering with mental illness.
