White Sleep
Snow shimmers down now
Azure over horizon
Perfect winter day
Deep questions in me
Swift minds flutter warily
Ink blots spill over
I sleep quietly
Awaiting the nighttime call
There is nothing more
A thirst for slumber
Stirring me into blindness
Drops of snow falling
Gently cupping hands
Flakes sway in the wind to me
Swirling like minds
Black freshness sweeps in
Answers never come
Gray shrouds the bare truth
Imagine whispers
Creeping in and pulling back
Dead serenity
Ivory colors
I can see and dream no more
For I have fallen
I knew once before
The questions will not draw near
They sweep with the wind
Truly I am blind
Crawling away, no one knows
White lines trace my life
So walk away now
Knowing what I never knew
Winter’s end is here
