Brown leaf glides softly
In a silent waltz with wind
To the cold ground.
The proud, silent oak
Stands naked in frigid wind
Without his green coat
Rain. Tip-tap-tip-tap
Falling like widows tears to
Cleans the waiting earth

I love haikus. Your structure is really good for somone who has never written a haiku before. I'm not sur I believe you... ;-)
