A poet's work is to name the unnameable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world, and stop it going to sleep.

~Salman Rushdie

Summertime, sun beams
Touching my cool, silky skin
In the break of dawn.

The author's comments:
Almost every summer morning, I wake up, feeling the warm sunshine on my cool, brown skin, gently waking me up, begging me to bathe in its perfect warmth.
