Favorite Quote:
And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt. ~Sylvia Plath

Mouth bound in measure-
ing tape, she cannot taste but
numbers. So alone,
The mirror will not talk back,
No matter how she begs.
She tied her mouth shut
Her eyes are blind to its hold,
I've forgotten how
She used to smile. Now
I wait, as she waited, for
Her ghost to talk back.

This is about the effect of being so obsessed with your appearance that you lose yourself completely in the desire to be someone else, some one you think better than yourself. I've felt like this, I have a friend I'm really worried about that's going through his, and she's what inspired this poem.
