Slender spindly legs
tiptoe across wispy webs
shimmering threads wave

wind blows through the net
an iridescent ambush
unsuspected death

Why didn't this get published?! It is definitely one of the best haiku couplets I have ever read! You have immense talent! 5/5 stars!

Amazing! It was like one of those little snapshots of action. I could actually see the spider sitting there on a dew spotted web, and then when a little insect flew into it, the spider shot out toward it and then the image blanked out.   It was sooo cool, almost as if I were seeing a short movie! Well done, Esha!!

Yeah I totally agree with your comment. The haiku is centralized on a subject of nature and the effects nature has on that subject. I like the line: "an iridescent ambush."

This is how haikus should be written. I could practically see the poor little spider's web getting destroyed; they're image-packed and emotional, and simple. Awesome!
