Haiku is Hard
How much emotion
Can be born in seventeen
Syllables? So much.
So then why am I
Unable to harness it?
My poems are dead inside.
No emotion comes
From these words but frustration
And desperation.
Anyone can count
Syllables. The trick
Is to make them sing.
Haiku is easy.
But good haiku? That is a
different story.
