Rain is a Sign of Hope
Wake up, smell the rain.
Each drop is a sign of hope
That cruelty will flood.
We are safe underneath
The clouds shield us from fear,
Lightning is our friend
The rain flourishes
And our minds are sent adrift
Evil is no match.
The air’s scent expands
Our souls, they remain at rest.
The world stays silent.
The wind speaks to us
Swiveling through the streets, it whispers
Words of faith protect.
The night disperses
We awake to the rainbow,
They paint our futures.
