Abstinence VS. Sex
July 16, 2013
Society mocks
abstinence; but God detests
all fornicators.
God gives us sacred
purity; society
offers sex. Who's right?

@migwam Well said it seems that there may have been the possibility that this paticular question has been pondered on your part before, was it not? Or simply your total and complete opinion came to you in that instant as you began to write. Well however it came about, I applaud in your case, these are personal choices. Nothing more to be said on my part, it seems you have said it all already!

First and foremost, I admire this work, it is well written and I see you put your thought on the page. Next I must say I am 15 and NOT a virgin. Sometimes I do wonder what it would've been like to lose it with someone I actually cared about, however more often than not I simply do not care. Ha ha yes, a weird thing to say I'm sure, but it is the truth. As for my opinion on the piece, I think a user named @migwam portrayed it perfectly, as these are my exact thoughts, and I think that the @JadeJester makes a good point.

@Mckay Love your work! You really show what your perspective is and I love that you're responding to at least 1/2 of the comments! You speak truth, and you are kind to those who disagree.

However bias is not always negative.

@EmmaCG Society is the aggregate of people living together in a more or less ordered community. If some people believe in god then he is still not a part of the society but rather just a part of that person. They are separate.

No offense, but it's literally like 5 lines. They didn't even really write anything good, they just asked a question people have been asking for like 20 years.

this one is very stupid
By my beliefs, Purity is a very prideful thing. It is good to be it; you want to be pure. When you marry, you have saved yourself for him or her. Its like saying,'I have waited this long, and I am giving you all of me. As believers, we are God's bride. We have sinned against him with the earth, but he takes us anyways, so we may stop that. In conclusion, God's is right because that is how he wants us to be.

I believe that neither are right since religion is a choice rather than a staple in life. Although my views are slightly different, I still give praise for this piece, I enjoy the simplistic approach to such a controversial topic and the approach you took towards it. The end question was the line that I feel had the most impact, as it internalized a question that has no true answer, just one that varies depending on individual morals, beliefs, etc. It really makes everyone who reads self-evaluate and realize how they truly feel on a topic that they may not have worried about previously or often enough to make an impact. The morals and views behind the author may contradict with some reading this piece, but it truly does raise the same question in every reader and perhaps the final answer in each reader's lives. It serves as possibly a simple question in one's life, but also possibly a major turning point in one's beliefs or morals. Though differing in outcome, I still admire this piece as if I had agreed with it wholeheartedly.

God is but a creation of society, Why deny sexual freedom to humanity for what? sacred purity? What about a HAPPY life?
