Daddy

In a home
there is a father.
Who works well
alongside a mother.
He is the one who works hard all day to come home to children
who just want to play.
And although a fathers job
is sometimes misunderstood,
he gets things done,
just like he should.
He fills the home
with kind, gentle orders
and sometimes promises
small, shiny quarters.
He tucks in the kids
who just want to goof,
and puffs up their pillows
with a slight poof.
And all you little girls out there,
I don't think you get it.
I have the best Daddy in the world,
and don't you forget it!
