The Jared Song
The Jared Song
Chorus:
Don’t get too close,
it’s all in the name.
They only cause trouble,
and they only bring pain.
Take out your heart-
leave it at the door,
unless you want them
to stomp it into the floor.
Verse One:
They’ll hold you real close,
say that you’re the one,
then get moving on
once they’ve had their fun.
They don’t really care
how much it hurts,
they’ll leave when they’re done
because they put themselves first. (chorus)
Verse Two:
I don’t care if they dance,
I don’t care if they sing.
I don’t care if he says
he’s buying you a ring
Don’t come crying to me
when the tears already fell,
because I am warning you-
this won’t end well! (chorus)
Bridge:
Now he’s gone and done it-
he’s broken your heart,
the only thing to do is
stop this where starts
Verse Three:
I tried to warn you,
it’s just a crying shame.
You could’ve spared the sorrow
if you’d listened to the name.
Call all your friends,
warn them like you should.
Jareds just aren’t worth it,
they just ain’t no good! (chorus)

I'm glad you liked it. :) I can completely understand not being too partial to Jareds. Shoot me a message any time if you want to talk about it.
And I'm sorry that jerk broke up with you, but I'm glad I could help in my own small way. :)
My (ex)boyfriend, Jared, just dumped me two weeks ago today. And I read one of your poems; Duct Tape love and thought- wow, that reminds of me of Jared. I almost fell out of my chair when I looked at the list of other work and saw 'The Jared Song' right at the top.
HAHA! Shock of my day. But it's really good! Keep it up! You're amazingly talented.
