Unsung Lullaby
To the untrained eye
It may seem as though you and I
Would be very best friends,
Which is true; friends ‘till the bitter end
But you and I
Together have touched the sky,
Many moons ago,
When we used to fly on wings as white as snow.
But you and I
Can speak words with the blink’in of our eyes
The world can’t comprehend,
When two hearts race, they both will win.
To the untrained eye
It may seem as though you and i
Would be very best friends,
Which is true; friends ‘till the bitter end
But you and I
Together have touched the sky,
Many moons ago,
When we used to fly on wings of powdered snow.
