Runny Makeup
Well there 're two girls
Sitting next to a sand castle
Both with wind blown hair
And a smile that never seems to leave...
Wondering if they'll always
Play together they promised
They'd never go away
They said were always going to play
We'll just imaginate all day
Wear smeared make up
And have fake finger nails
Well I don't know about you
But life seemed like a fairytale
Now several years later
they're just another faded picture
And another faded smile
Crying out for satisfaction
And there's two girls
Sitting next to each other
One with black eyes and the other with short curly hair
Just waiting for something to say
Just anything to break this
Awkward silence
We promised we'd never leave
When we're only 7200 seconds away
And they said...
And we're always going to play
Even if our imagination
Invades our innocent minds
Well your smeared make-up's
Just a little runny
And your fake finger nails
Are all cracked and broken
Well I don't know about you
But life seemed
Like a fairytale
And there's two girls 30 years from now
Spread across the world
In Hong Kong the rain
Pours down
And some where
In a snow covered town
A broken girl writes this down
Oh she can see her breath on the window...
And they said we're always going to play
Even if our imagination corrupts
Our innocent minds
Well your smeared make-up's
Just a little over dramatic
And your fake finger nails are way too long
and extravagant
Well I don't know about you
But life seemed like a fairytale...
well there's two girls sitting in a room
not knowing what to do.
or what to say
they just stared out into the cold window
wondering if they're still the same people
they used to be....
Well there's two girls sitting next to a sand castle
Both with wind blown hair
And a smile that never seemed to leave
And just like they promised
They never went away
But they'll just always remain
Another faded picture
And another faded smile...
