Family problems
Hey, Mom
Hey, Dad
How are you doing today?
You keep telling me to change my ways
So listen up, hear what I have to say...
And I know this may be hard for you
To hear and have to listen too
But you need to face the truth
I don't need you to:
Tell me who I should be
Show me what you want to see
Make me, break me, shake me,
Until I'm perfectly
Anyone but me
I wish you'd open your eyes
For once in your life and see how
You use my flaws against me
And I'm not saying I'm not guilty
But did you ever think maybe I try, I do,
And maybe, maybe I learned from you.
You say you love me and you care,
So tell me, why aren't you ever there?
You're the problem, I'm making you fix it
You're the issue, maybe you should get some help too
You're the ones who are breaking me down to pieces
I don't need you, no I don't need you
I deserve to smile, just like every human being
But you never make it easy to do
I can't be myself around you,
And I can't tell you anything
I can't believe I let this get so bad
And let you hold my insecurities to get to me
Whenever you get mad it's like you
Need everyone else's misery to smile
And I know this may be hard for you
To hear and have to listen too
But you need to face the truth
I don't need you to:
Tell me who I should be
Show me what you want to see
Make me, break me, shake me,
Until I'm perfectly
Anyone but me
And I know this may be hard for you
To hear and have to listen too
But you need to face the truth
I don't need you to:
Tell me who I should be
Show me what you want to see
Make me, break me, shake me,
Until I'm perfectly
Anyone but me
Hey, Mom
Hey, Dad
How are you doing today?
You keep telling me to change my ways
So listen up, hope you heard what I had to say...
