Streetlight Adventures
His name I do not know
But his nature, I understand
Want him to gaze into my eyes
Need him to take my hand
Leave the overcrowded room
Abandon the restless din
Feeling untouchable and pure
How could this be a sin?
Make the choice to venture outside
Journey along the street
My head is souring through the clouds
The sky's beneath my feet
Adoring every single moment
Of marvelous conversation
My body's tingling all over
As my heart sings in sheer elation
I'm attempting oh so desperately
To conceal my emotion
His eyes so very peaceful
Just like the moon 'bove the ocean
It's like listening to music
His voice so smooth like velvet
Language can take us anywhere
Words - our own magic carpet
Walking with him at my side -
It's like strolling through a dream
And I am grinning ear to ear
Nearly bursting at the seems
Honored to be so very close
To this spectacular human being
My eyes are so unworthy but
Total perfection is who I'm seeing
We already have some inside jokes
They alleyways echo with our laughter
This experience makes me want to believe
In a "happily ever after".
