I am no Halle Berry
Not nearly as beautiful
I am no Mariah Carey
My voice is not as lovely
I am no Maya Angelou
My poems are not as strong
However, I am me
Strong and intelligent
I am exactly who God want me to be
It doesn’t matter if others don’t see
I care for no conspiracy
You see my beauty
But you call me a beast
I can sing
But you doubt my voice
My poems are good
But you judge me like no one else would
You ask me who am I?
I’m a child of the one beyond the sky
You can’t break me
For I am the Essence of Beauty
