Epitome of a Black Woman
She is a believer of the Book
Following God not giving the world a second look
One of the living lights walking through a world of night
Fighting for Jesus with all her might
An angel of the Lord
In everyday life- using the Bible, the spiritual sword
A caring Christian following her calling
Trusting God to keep from falling
Seeking first the kingdom of Heaven
Constantly climbing to reach the next level
A witness of God walking in faith
Never ashamed to say she loves Him to anyone’s face
An ocean of promise open to help
Always putting others before herself
A meek mother
Striving to push her children further
An advocate advancing inspite of affliction
Believing the Bible’s truth and not the world’s fiction
Never nervous traveling along that narrow road
Although it can sometimes be long and cold
She even has the grace of a queen
And when she talks you can hear freedom ring
By keeping faith and staying strong
She continues along to reach the promised land
For she is the epitome of a black woman.
