Last Grain in the Hour Glass
Don’t look now, but things have changed,
But that don’t mean that we’re to blame.
You can improvise,
But baby, that’s not something,
I advise.
And I know we weren’t always,
Sun shines and moonlit pathways,
But we are still worthwhile.
Maybe we didn’t fit in,
Maybe we had only one win.
Maybe we didn’t anticipate,
What was to come,
Yet it’s still not too late.
We can fix things before the last,
Grain in the hour glass,
Falls…
I’m counting down the options,
You know that there’s no stopping,
‘Till we’ve tried wholeheartedly.
And even though,
Things were never whimsy,
That’s doesn’t give us reasoning,
To forget all meaning,
Of everything we ever dreamed of and knew we could be.
Maybe we didn’t fit in,
Maybe we had only one win.
Maybe we didn’t anticipate,
What was to come,
Yet it’s still not too late.
We can fix things before the last,
Grain in the hour glass,
Falls…
This race against time,
Won’t end ‘till we’ve spent our last dime,
On mending all that’s broken.
Our hearts won’t heal themselves,
And I’m not mistaken,
‘Cause time and serenity,
Can fix it for me,
But until we correct our typos,
We have nowhere to go,
For a while.
Maybe we didn’t fit in,
Maybe we had only one win.
Maybe we didn’t anticipate,
What was to come,
Yet it’s still not too late.
We can fix things before the last,
Grain in the hour glass,
Falls…
We won’t win if we keep running circles,
We can’t paint this mural,
Using one shade of gray,
We can’t sit back and watch everything fade…
‘Cause maybe we had only one win.
Maybe we didn’t anticipate,
What was to come,
Yet it’s still not too late.
We can fix things before the last,
Grain in the hour glass,
Falls…
Maybe we don’t fit in,
But we still have chances win.
Maybe we don’t have to anticipate,
What is to come,
Just live in the moment before it’s too late
We will fix things before the last,
Grain in the hour glass,
Falls…
We’ll fix things before it falls…
Don’t let that last grain fall,
To the bottom of the hour glass…
