Piercing Green Eyes
Piercing Green Eyes
Beginning:
Heartbreak…
Heartache…
How much more,
can this girl take?
Verse:
She’s just an innocent little girl,
who feels so alone.
But she isn’t alone;
oh she isn’t alone.
I’ve seen her take blow,
after blow.
And the fear in her eyes;
it’s beginning to become un-belie-vab-ly evident.
I hate that I can feel her pain.
I hate knowing how many secrets,
she feels the need to hide.
No one believes her…
they all think she’s lying.
But they are so very wrong;
because she’s not.
If you even take time,
to look in her piercing green eyes,
you can see that the life in them’
is slowly dying.
Bridge:
She’s falling to the ground.
And there’s no one around;
to hear her cries filled with agony and misery.
Chorus:
I wish I could take her pain away;
for she’s suffered far too much.
I want her to realize,
that she doesn’t have to hide in fear.
Every tear she cries,
tears me up inside.
I dunno how to help her…
But I’m gonna try.
Verse:
When anyone comes near her,
she flinches and pushes them away.
She’s hurting so badly,
more than she’s willing to say.
Verse 2:
She’s falling to the ground.
And there’s no one around;
to hear her cries filled with agony and misery.
Chorus:
I wish I could take her pain away;
for she’s suffered far too much.
I want her to realize,
that she doesn’t have to hide in fear.
Every tear she cries,
tears me up inside.
I don’t know how to help her…
But I’m gonna to try.
Climax:
She’s tired of lying.
And she’s tired of these secrets,
building up inside.
She knows she has a friend,
and He will never leave her side.
Oh He’ll never leave her side.
End Bridge of Final Chorus:
She knows He’s watching over her,
she feels so safe now.
And now I know she’s ready;
for the journey ahead.
Ending Chorus:
I don need to take her pain away.
I always knew she’d find a way.
She’s come so far now.
And she doesn’t want to hide in fear.
Every step she takes;
she feels much stronger now.
She wants to feel better.
She’s gonna hold her head high.
Cuz she knows what she wants now.
Ending:
It’s a long road to recovery.
But a little faith,
goes a long way.
And I already know,
that she’s going to try…
