Flying With The Wind
Sitting alone
in my dark bedroom
I sigh
And stare at the wall.
Not a single person
Seems to notice
My depression,
so if I cannot soothe myself I go.
To the window I stroll over
And I open up the shades.
I open up the window and shove my head into the breeze.
It’s a wonderful sensation
One I just cannot explain.
What a wonderful sensation
I can feel my sadness drain.
In a never ending lifetime
One that shall never ever stop
My hair blowing out the window
My heart taking a hop.
With my head hanging out
I am flying with the wind.
In a deep depression
Of silent serenity
I don’t have another single possibility.
My heart is tugging at my soul saying,
“Go, open up the window,
let your eager spirit roll!”
I cannot fight the urge for that terrific warming feeling
And I just can’t say why not.
So to the window I stroll over
And I open up the shades.
I open up the window and shove my head into the breeze.
It’s a wonderful sensation
One I just cannot explain.
What a wonderful sensation
I can feel my sadness drain.
In a never ending lifetime
One that shall never ever stop
My hair blowing out the window
My heart taking a hop.
With my head hanging out
I am flying with the wind.
So now whenever I am sad,
and I’m filled with that depressing feeling,
I go over to the window
and I let my heart take hold
And I let my eager spirit
go out and roll about,
swimming through the blue
And I let that child in my soul
go running in the heavens
And while they are playing
with the clouds
I’m flying with the wind.
