Spider Web Wire
Fog in my breath,
Cluttered gray skies,
An unnoticed meth,
Hot rain flies.
Towers in the sea,
Birds squeal and choke,
The pollution in me,
Towers bleed smoke.
Static on the wire,
Tamed electricity,
The flowers retire,
Cut by the revolutionary.
Moulder and rot,
On the littered grassy field,
All the winds that fought,
Towers that bled, unhealed.
Stagnated chest falls,
Immaculate dystrophy,
Along ocean squalls,
Sleeps the monster inside of me.
They stand stripped bare,
Atop the skylight's edge,
Waits the woman there,
Hanging from the ledge.
Ectopic lines,
Off a shattered coast,
Strung heavy like vines,
A city engrossed.
Hung for conversation,
Erected for convenience,
Speak without elation,
Lost in abeyance.
The Earth slows,
Suffocation, still dire,
Unopen windows,
And Spider Web Wire.
