Recycled
Verse 1
I go through love like going through a pair of socks,
One day I like them, the other not
I want to wear that sock all of my life,
But the sock would eventually get dirty
And I would have to throw it away.
It would get recycled
Verse 2
I would have to grab a fresh pair,
And watch the cycle start over again.
Maybe I need to go outside,
And hope that a sock from out west
Would land right in my hands
This sock I might hold onto the rest of my life
And the other socks would be recycled
Recycled, Recycled, Recycled, yeah
Verse 3
This sock is a girl, that I never even knew,
Until, one day, on May of 2010, I sat down
They were right behind me, and I
I said “hey.”
We start to talk and I feel the same way
As I did when I was love some time ago
Chorus
You told me how to lead my life,
And you give me inspiration
And you give me all that I had lost before
I will hold onto you for the rest of my life,
And the others won’t butt in
Those others will get recycled,
Recycled, Recycled, Recycled, yeah
Verse 3
This sock is a girl, that I never even knew,
Until, one day, on May of 2010, I sat down
They were right behind me, and I
I said “hey.”
We start to talk and I feel the same way
As I did when I was love some time ago
Bridge
So girl, let me hold onto you,
You are the only girl I’d wear,
Those others would get recycled
Recycled, Recycled, Recycled
Before you, yeah
