Little Black Gloves
It was
last winter.
You told me to run.
You took my hand,
you showed me how to dance,
and pulled me onto the ice.
I left my fears behind.
My fear of falling.
Of losing everything.
Of being alone,
in the cold.
I hardly knew you
but I knew you so well.
You were everything to me.
As we skated on the ice,
I fell in love
I fell in love with you.
And your little black gloves
you gave them to me.
You told me don't ever,
don't ever
take them off.
You wanted me to stay warm,
Oh how I was warm.
Now that you're gone,
I walk alone.
Remembering the times we had.
And I wonder if you remember them too.
Cause' there is just something about you
that I'll never quite forget.
And I'm still wearing these gloves.
Cause these little black gloves
are just a silhouette of you,
a silhouette
a silhouette of you.
x2
And all the memories we had.
And now that you're gone
I can't help but miss you.
You were the only thing that
kept me warm.
Cause these little black gloves
are just a silhouette of you,
a silhouette
a silhouette of you.
x2
And all the memories.
And now that you're gone
all I have left
to keep me warm this winter
is just a silhouette
a silhouette of you.
