Her Eyes
And she smiles that smile
The one you know holds a million secrets
Secrets you’ll never know
And if you ask her about it
She’ll get this faraway look in her eyes
And she’ll say
If I told you, I wouldn’t be a surprise
Yeah if I told you, you’d think it was all lies
Cause these eyes, mm my eyes
Have seen more than you’ll ever know
She acts so tough
Mm and she hides her scars well
But at night, in the cover of darkness
She cries remembers all her secrets
And doesn’t know how she’ll make it
Thinks of the future
And all the unknown
But if you try to help her
Offer to hold her hand in the dark
She’ll tell you
My eyes, ooh my eyes
Have seen more than you’ll ever know
If I tried to tell you my heart,
You’d think it was all lies
I’d rather stay a surprise
