Chameleon
You look right on through me, walk on by.
Don’t stop to say hello or wave goodbye.
Well, I guess that I am invisible to you.
So I sit here alone. What else can I do?
‘Cause I’m a chameleon, human chameleon.
Who’s that kid in the mirror staring back at me?
I know she’s there but nobody else can see.
So I back up to the wall, try to disappear,
And let you keep pretending that I’m not here.
‘Cause I’m a chameleon, human chameleon.
Just keep me in the background out of the spotlight.
I’m not the center of attention, and that’s alright.
You know that I’m content with staying where I’ve been.
Changing scenery makes it tough to blend back in.
‘Cause I’m a chameleon, human chameleon.
Yeah, I’m a chameleon, human chameleon.
