Fairytale
Once upon a time I was falling apart
I felt hollow inside, though my fragile glass heart
Kept beating softly, quiet but strong
I tried to find some reason to move on
I never believed in fairytales that didn’t come true
You can’t find love with only a shoe
Nothing would ever change, day after day
I didn’t expect that love would come my way
You took my hand, lead me out to the sun
Made me feel like the only one
I had no idea that I was a damsel in distress
Until you made me feel like a princess
For the first time in a long time, I can smile again
I’m not sure what we are, but we must be more than friends
Walking down the street with hands intertwined
It’s a whole new feeling just calling you mine
I never believed in fairytales that were always too far
You couldn’t find love by wishing on a star
I didn’t see this coming, what you’ve done to me
And now I can finally see
You took my hand, lead me out to the sun
Made me feel like the only one
I had no idea that I was a damsel in distress
Until you made me feel like a princess
You put a flower in my hair, and it felt like a crown
Happiness alone is nothing compared to what I feel now
And once upon a time, I felt so far away
I only hope that you are here to stay
You took my hand, lead me out to the sun
Made me feel like the only one
I had no idea that I was a damsel in distress
Until you made me feel like a princess
And now I understand what the tales were about
I’ve lost every reason I had to doubt
There’s no excuse, I can see
What we have is a fairytale to me
