It can't rain all the time
He fell back into the dark
Swallowed alive by the pain
Staring at the burn mark
Freshly made trying to maintain
A blank mask to hide the shame
The disappointment of letting her go
The blade slips from her hand
a steady flow from the wound
Slipping to an unconscious land
Waiting for darkness to consume
letting go of everything she never had
No longer able to hold it in
I hang on to it all just because
You told me it cant rain all the time
The sun will shine again on you and me
To feel the warmth upon our face
the feelings full in are mended hearts
Because you know it cant rain all the time
