Through the Sky
A pebble
Skims a pristine lake
Now it’s not so pristine anymore
An owl
Screeches through a silent night
Not so silent anymore
The sky is blue
Like teardrops
But also the color of the sea
Clouds push apart
And oceans feed into rivers
Lightning strikes and thunder crashes
Broken hearts fall to the bottom of the bluest ocean
And crash into the sky
I stand by
As the world crashes through the sky, through sky
Watching clouds shatter
And oceans clatter
All alone throwing stones
Into the sky
I hear footsteps
Walking behind me
Spin around
Look around
Realize it’s just in my mind
But the sound
It’s real
The sound of teardrops
Hear them falling from the sky
I stand there and wonder
Beneath the thunder
Will they ever learn?
The sky is falling
Night is near
The sky’s no longer clear
Oh it just can’t rewind
But clouds clash
And people laugh
I can hear the rumble
As the pieces start to crumble
